After School Care Job Application at Mt. Carmel UMC Mt. Carmel Academy is an outreach ministry of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Our goal is to offer high quality, faith-based child care at an affordable cost. The program provides experiences to help elementary school aged children develop physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. This goal is achieved by offering age-appropriate activities for children guided by experienced, caring staff. All of our staff and volunteers have gone through a Safe Sanctuary training complete with background checks.
Each day children will enjoy a nutritious snack, assistance with homework, moral focused Christian education, fun and learning through “center”-based classrooms, and plenty of room to run and play outside on our playground and ball field. The programs successfully utilize positive reinforcement techniques for behavior based issues.
Mt. Carmel Academy’s Weekday After School Care Ministry After School Programs operate Monday through Friday, 2:00pm-6:00pm throughout the school year. We follow the Forsyth County school calendar and our facility is open when the schools are open. We are not open on teacher work days or holidays but will have extended hours on early release days at no added cost. We service Kimmel Farm Elementary students. Children will be arrive at our facility by riding the afternoon school bus assigned to our street on Ebert Road. We will accept applications for children from other schools providing the parent works outs that child’s transportation to our facility. We do not have a van or bus to pick up children at this time. Applicants interested in applying for both the Director or Assistant Director of After School Care should call or email the church and request an application at 336-788-4183 or email@example.com. After your application is submitted, a formal interview will be scheduled within a week. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have graduated High School. Background check and Safe Sanctuary training is required upon being hired for the position. College or training in child care is preferred.
